Re: Poll: Preferred Flight Sim for Your SAX Flights

I have build a new pc with a lot of more capacity. So now I´m running FSX. I was too late for the voting but I have left FS9.

Re: PMDG 737 NG Winglets

Since I bought a new computer with Windows Vista ( tree years ago) I haven't flew with winglets. I didn´t see the choice in the menu in Fs9/PMDG. Today I made a new try to find the installed winglets. I went to the PMDG-forum and the topic of livery installation problems at: http://forum.avsim.net/t...

Re: Poll: VFR Flight Routes

For many years ago I flew some sceduled VFR post flights in the northern of Norway. It was very fun! A mission was about 4-6 stops at small airfields and took about 2-4 hours to fly. I flew a GAF Nomad twin-engine turboprop. A "short take off and landing" (STOL) aircraft. So Dave, I think ...

Re: POLL: Monthly Flight Rotation

I voted No to Monthly Flight Rotation. Why? Because I do not have time to fly regulary every month. But I understand those of you who want the flying to be as real as it gets and so on. The debate in this mather has been tremendous in this Forum. Sim speed or pause the simulator at 200NM before the ...

Re: Framerate dives regular

The problem is solved! David Vega suggested to install and run alacritypc and this was the key for me to change my thinking about the problem. This must be the most efficient way to run FS9 on any system, I thought. So when I was running FS9 in that way I heard the processor-fan was sounding like it...

Framerate dives regular

Hi, I have a problem with framrate that drops down every 5:th second. It´s most obvious when I use a complex scenery. Example: I´m in short final with a framerate around 13. Every 5:th second it drops to 3-5 fps. With that low framerate it is impossible to make a smooth landing. You should be happy ...

Re: New Poll:Which Flight Sim Do You Use For SAX Flights?

It´s only a few weeks since I definitely erased FS2002 and I can trust my FS9. I think I will stick to FS9 for a while now. Also there is a few questions if PMDG, FsNav and others will run under FSX ( I assume, have´t looked into it). But the main reason for me not to start use FSX, besides t...

I also voted "don't care". I love the MD aircraft and I fly it in Scandinavia but since I bought PMDG B737 I have became a "Boeing-freak". So when I want to make a MD-flight I change my uniform to Scandinavian Virtual Airlines outfit. 8)

Hey, I was searching for some weather info and stumbled over this site. http://virtualskies.arc.nasa.gov/index.html It is very instructive and it includes tests and certifications. It is also possible to download the entire website. http://virtualskies.arc.nasa.gov/teachers/printmaterial.html Have f...

Substitute for FSNavigator?

The old FSNavigator 4.7 will not be upgraded for FSX. Have a look at their websight http://www.fsnavigator.com/ As you can see they will make a complete rebuild of FSNav and therefore not a free upgrade for us who already have the old version. In that case I will have to by the new FSNav 5.0 or does...

Hmmm... As a "not american" I cant recognize your sound descriptions  , but I can guess what you mean. The blurp-sound could come from the hard disk as well as the chatter. A freezed video should not have anything to do with the power supply. My guess is that an area on the hard disk...

B737 winglets

I´ve noticed at the photos from the last Fly In in Vienna, that all of you have winglets on your 737:s. Is it PMDG you fly? If so, how can I get the winglets?

Just curious.

Thank you gentlemen!
Sunair is a very nice and friendly Virtuell Airline, so I will go on for the next salary raise at 1000 hours. When I get back to STL later on today, I will spend my first raise on a pocket warm scotch single malted whisky: Ardbeg 17 years old. 8)

Lyle, This is great! You sure make things look more easy in a video like this. It´s a very good way of learning and if you will make any more videos like this I look forward to learn more about the FMC and all the possibilities that it has. Even an explanation why you do this choise for this flight....

How are we doing? Very good! I´ve made some suggestions to Dave Vega and as I can see, some of them have been realized now. What do you like or dislike about SunAir Express? I like mostly everything. Especially POC and the Route maps. Also I like the size of Sunair. We are quite few pilots and that...
