Re: WARNING!!! Suspect Flights in our Schedule

E-190, 747 cargo, Jim, 737 seasonal, and 777 seasonal schedules are good. There are, however a few problems in the 767 and 747 passenger schedules. Flight 400 arrives DEN at 1646 and flight 401 departs DEN at 1700, hardly enough time for a turnaround. Flight 135 KPHL-KTPA is a 767. There is no 767 f...

Re: WARNING!!! Suspect Flights in our Schedule

Another boring day at work recently, so started looking at the current schedules. Found two errors so far. Flight 5342 goes from LSZH to EPWA as an A320 but returns from EPWA to LSZH as flight 5343 as a 737. Also seems pretty ambitious to do flight 9017 from KLAS to KPHX, 410 miles, in only 1.2 bloc...

Found this -

If I recall, this was just about the time the scenery for FS9 went gold, so the change must have missed the cut.

Re: WARNING!!! Suspect Flights in our Schedule

Flight 1026 KLAS-KSEA is sceduled for 2.7. Looks like 2.4 is a good average based on the people who have flown it to date. I did it at M.77 with a 30kt headwind. Curious why I don't have a map attached to my log for that flight.

737-800 virtual cockpit

Anyone get their -800 to work with the default FS9 virtual cockpit? I've installed the -800 in the file library (http://www.sunairexpress.com/files/SAX_ ... or_FS9.zip) and have no VC. Can't find anything online that tells me how to get it working. Help, please.

new Dispatch Release

I liked the format of the old one for printing, and notice, sadly, it appears to have been removed. I do like the links in the new one, though.

Sunday group flights are usually best for me, but I rarely participate anyway. Just for special events mainly, and as you know I don't do the VATSIM or squawkbox thing. I just fly and if someone else notices all the better.

So sorry I missed flying to TPA that day. My father-in-law took ill around then and today's the first day since that I've had the time and desire to fly.

Re: POC User Feedback & Suggestions Needed

Noticed today that the display of my rotation (using the "rotations" button) doesn't show the mileage for some flights even though the mileage is there when the flight is pulled up using the search flights feature. Also realized I'd like to have a "reverse" button in the "Se...

I understand that pilots who fly one are rated to fly the other. Can anyone who knows comment?

May be airline specific, but I can confirm that is the case with American.

Re: Around the World Flight

Well, I've gone and done it a second time now. I only managed one flight per month, so it was like taking a slow boat to China, but I got 'er done. KSFO-KTPA, 14FEB2010, 4.7hrs, 2157nm KTPA-EBBR, 01MAR2010, 8.8hrs, 4138nm EBBR-WSSS, 22APR2010, 11.9hrs, 5813nm WSSS-YSSY, 23MAY2010, 7.8hrs, 3533nm YSS...

Re: POC User Feedback & Suggestions Needed

Also just noticed that sometime between 19JUL and 13AUG this year, the mileage value listed on the pilots' logbook changed from showing the actual number of miles flown (from the bottom of the FSACARS text report) to showing the flight plan miles. Don't know if that was intentional or not, but I thi...

Corrupted FSACARS reports

So, I was looking through the pilots logs to see if any more FSACARS-reported flights still showed a blank landing rate of descent. That's a known bug in the POC. I found three - Bud Wade's flt 4023 on 07Dec looks like a legitimate instance of this bug. The other two instances bother me because the ...

Re: WARNING!!! Suspect Flights in our Schedule

Dave, SX555 VHHH-EBBR seems far too long. Flown twice before me at 12.0 (+0.6) and 11.4 (+0.2), but now the scheduled block time is 12.8? I just flew it in 12.2 (-0.6), and I had to fly the whole thing at M 0.80 in the 747 to even do that. Routing is over Russia, and I lost FS auto-weather updating ...

Re: Resume FSACARS after FS9 crash?

I've seen the offer of "Resume Log?" after FS9 crashes. But to hold that question, FSACARS has to remain running while you go and restart FS9. As far as I know, that function works. But if FSACARS is closed and restarted (such as after a hard reboot), the only option I get when it starts i...

Resume FSACARS after FS9 crash?

Has anyone successfully resumed logging a flight after FS9 crashed to the Windows desktop? How 'bout after a hard reboot of the computer? What are the exact steps involved in resuming FSACARS logging?

Re: New Beta Dispatch Form

First, the route shown in the dispatch form is cutoff for flight 523, with over 1000 miles to go. Probably a problem with other flights that have long routes, too. I recall that this error was fixed once before while the old dispatch form was still in use. Second, long flights over 8 hours require r...

Re: POC User Feedback & Suggestions Needed

Love the new historical info. I wonder about the statistics that are given for the tail number, though. Look at flight 523 for instance, and the "average" fuel used for that flight (flown only once) was 289k pounds, yet the statistics list the total (?) fuel used by the jet as only 165k po...

New Beta Dispatch Form

Some comments about the new form which I saw for the first time today. I like putting names to the other crew onboard. Cute addition. Also like finally seeing the block in and out times on the form rather than the takeoff and landing times. Much better fit with the way SAX is operating. If there's a...

Re: Should Long-haul Flights Be Graded On-time?

Dave, I'd prefer to see all filghts continue to be graded, but more leniently, on a sliding scale above, say, 6 hours. Keep +/- 0.2 for anything up to 6.0 hours, +/- 0.3 for 6.1 - 9.0 hours, +/- 0.4 for 9.1 - 12.0 hours, +/- 0.5 for 12.1 or more hours. Six hours is probably the right threshold for s...
