New POC Map Types

A few months ago, Aero Planner ceased to exist. They were the provider of the US-based Sectional and IFR map overlays on the POC map, which stopped working when Aero Planner went offline. A new map overlay provider is available. I have updated the POC map to include US-based Sectional, WAC, TAC, IFR...

Nice, Dave! Only three flights and the harder way of westbound. Is it possible to make it in two, based on the current flight schedule?

New POC Tracking Map Icons

The POC Flight Tracking Map has been updated with new aircraft icons. There are five color types and the colors can be saved as part of the other savable items. Let me know if any oddities are noticed.

Have you tried Ezdok? http://www.ezdok-software.com/ It allows keyboard presets and naturally pans the VC to the preset view.

New POC Map Types

The POC "Live Tracking" Google Map has been updated with three new map types; US Sectional, US Low Altitude IFR and US High Altitude IFR. The buttons are located in the upper right of the map, next to the existing map type buttons. Also, by using the existing "Track your Aircraft"...

Re: WARNING!!! Suspect Flights in our Schedule

Curious why I don't have a map attached to my log for that flight. __ Neil Neil, The POC's live tracking process needs to capture a takeoff and landing event. Based on the data in the database, your data for that flight stops at N36.7102 W116.8512, FL360, thus no landing event was captured. Looks l...

Re: Dispatch Form

Peter, Looking at the database, the 14:02 value is incorrect. 14:30 is the correct Gate Out/Brakes Off time for Flight 410. The "Flights You Haven't Flown" search does seem to have something odd going on with it. I'll let Dave Vega take a look at the code, since he recently wrote this. I g...

The SunAir Express Dispatch Form now has a link that will allow the downloading and saving of an FS Flight Plan ( FS9 and FSX compatible ) for the route on the dispatch form. The flight plan file should be saved in the location where you store and access your other FS Flight Plan files (i.e., My Doc...

Re: Missing Flight Number in Your ACARS Reports

The flight/route number you enter into FSACARS is also very important to the position reporting process for the live and archive flight tracking maps. I have seen invalid flight/route numbers in the position data in the POC database. This is what is causing a couple pilots from not showing up on the...

Re: FSACARS and the POC Flights in Progress

Shawn: I noticed that your last two flights have been archived with the new POC map data archiving process. This indicates two things; one, your FSACARS is sending data to the position's database table and two, that the position data was then moved over to the archived positions table after landing....

New POC Archived Flight Route Maps

About a year ago, SunAir Express implemented the POC Live Google Map to show flight progress routes. Starting earlier this week, the POC began a new process of archiving the flight route data gathered from FSACARS positions reports. What does this mean? Now the POC is able to display the flight rout...

Re: PMDG B737 NG2.0 for FS2004

There is a tutorial in the SAX file library called: 737ngadvtutorialv2.zip

Download it and read it over. Yes, it is more complicated than loading up a FS flight plan in the default GPS and flying, but the time spent will enhance your simming experience.
