ifly 737 NGX livery

I was wondering if the SAX livery and aircraft information for the ifly 737 NG for FS9 will work on the ifly 737 NG for FSX. I really liked flying the fily 737-800 in FS9 and would like to continue that pleasure in FSX. I do have the Aerosoft A320 Extended but still prefer the B737. The Aerosoft A32...

Re: Airlines from the Past

Alaska Air will be debuting non-stop flights from Seattle to Tampa, FL. http://tbo.com/news/business/tampa-seattle-nonstop-begins-in-june-on-alaska-airlines-20140211/ Time for some cold beers! When Jim Swanson and I got together to develop a logo for SunAir back in the days, I originally copied a VO...

Re: Ken Baumgarten Passing - SAX009

I remember flying with Ken back in the old SubLogic days with Jim and the original SunAir Express crew. Way too young with too much talent to be called Home. My condolences go out to Ken's family and friends, and it's good to "know" that he's flying with Jim and Ken Dundon in the greatest ...

Re: Poll: Preferred Flight Sim for SAX Flights?

I'm still using Windows XP with FS9 due to my PC limitations. Working with a P4, 2 gig system with an old GeForce video card. I have Windows 7 pro 32/64 bit and FSX Gold Edition in boxes as soon as I order and build my i7 machine. Add-ons include: Ultimate Traffic iFly 737-900 Flight Environment Meg...

Thank you to all my fellow captains. It's been a long ride since 1992, but all of you in charge of SunAir have done an outstanding job in keeping Jim's dream alive. I, along with Jim Swanson, salute you!

Thank you Dave. After our landing at KSFO, the flight crew and attendants broke out the little champagne bottles for a toast. Oh, and this took place at the Intercontinental San Francisco, not anywhere near the gate.

Re: SAX MAIL 1992

Here are a few more files from '93. Amazing computer technology back then! Al O'Brien had a 286 10Mhz and Kenny Dundon was buying a 14.4 modem. This new data may be helpful to Dave B. with his historic logs.
Who knows what I'll find next!?!?

SAX MAIL 1992

Fellow Captains, If you're familiar with or have been part of the origin of SunAir Express, these "emails" from 1992 might be very entertaining and informative. In the summer of '92, we decided it would be nice to know a little bit about each other, so created and sent short bios, includin...

Yep, I'm still running FS9 too. I've done some research on FSX that still seems to have some framerate issues even with high-end PC's. subLOGIC

Here's some of my archaic collection of subLOGIC software and books. I still have the U.S. jetway maps, and many 3-ring binders for the additional add-on areas as released by subLOGIC. This is the software that started it all at SunAir Express, and I still don't want to part with it (check out the 5...

My heartfelt sympathies to Ken's family at such a tragic loss. I remember Ken from the early days with Jim Swanson on Prodigy and will always remmber him as an integral part of SunAir Express. As Lyle stated, Jim now "has an awesome co-pilot". Godspeed Ken.

Re: POLL: Max Touchdown Rate Allowed

Fellow Pilots, As I don't have the time to fly as much as I would like to, the approach and landing TDR's can sometimes be a bit confusing. Allowing for my limited flight time experience, I'm still having a difficult time adjusting the aircraft to a safe and minimal touchdown rate (TDR), which I som...

Fellow SAX Pilots, Thank you for the congrats! It's been a long time coming and worth every flight hour. Fokker 100

Fellow Pilots, After a few flight with the F100, I must agree that it's a great aircraft to fly and a nice change from the CRJ2. My question regards F100 routes and flight numbers. There are no routes for the F100 and we are supposed to fly CRJ2 routes. This doesn't seem to work with FSACARS on my e...

Re: Poll: Which Flight Sim Do You Use For SAX Flights Now?

I'm using FS9 for my flights. With all the addons I have, I can't justify purchasing FSX and then having to get all the new software.
I'll wait and see what Microsoft does in a couple of years with FS?.
