Re: Poll: Preferred Flight Sim for Your SAX Flights
While I'm still with P3Dv5, I went ahead and bought MSFS and while my PC isn't top of the line, I can run it with satisfactory performance. In my opinion, the problem with MSFS is that there are few to no jets types that are in the SAX fleet. There's the B747 and an A320. One can buy a CRJ7 but ther...

Nice photos, thank you for posting them. I clearly didn't do that livery. :D For everyone, Xavier, SAX789, is beta testing a new version of FS Flight Keeper plus a new version of FSUIPC with the new Microsoft Flight Simulator. So far the test have been good. This is all helping with the transition o...

Re: A Video Review of FS2020
Rich, as part of the alpha and beta test, I had to install it several times. It downloads an executable who in turns downloads the content, which does take a while since it's a big file. If one flies connected to the internet, the scenery is downloaded as you fly. I had a pretty smooth flights with ...

Good article about US airlines that have come and gone. I remember flying some of them. How about you?

Here's a good article on landing jets. Note the point about positive landings are preferred over the smooth greasers of propeller aircraft.

JT,
It appears both issues are related to FSUIPC. Suggest removing and reinstalling FSUIPC. You can find it here. Let us know if this works for you.

Re: FSX Downloads
Thank you. You could also move to FSX Steam Edition. I bought it on sale for $12 a while ago. It installs and functions better than boxed FSX. There's also a rumor that Microsoft is going to announce something about FSX. This is part of their new Flight Simulator project coming out next year. Anyway...

Re: Last Christmas for American Airlines MD-80 Fleet
Here's a good video of the A220. I do remember the MD83 now. Yes, many hours of flying that one. I do remember that when I visited Simon Hradecky in Austria, he showed me a small model of an MD83 that he said was his inspiration for AS2. There's an MD8x simulation for FSX and P3D called Fly the Mad ...

Happy New Year!
Happy new year to all the SunAir Express pilots. 2018 was a good productive year for our virtual airline. We flew over 1212 flights with 12 active pilots. Rich Gasperin, SAX002, one of the old guard, flew the most flights with 244 flights. Jeffrey Wiss, SAX766, flew the most hours with 1,008.8 hours...

Re: Last Christmas for American Airlines MD-80 Fleet
A great airplane that's sadly going away. Someone not long ago told me they heard from a friend that's in aircraft maintenance that the MDs just never break and that's why some airlines like AA and Delta where still using them. Did SunAir Express ever use the MD83? I think I remember flying it a whi...
