Re: Help With Multiplayer Session

FS ATC is not available during a multi-player session: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/315195
At the bottom of that support page, it states that this applies for FS2002 and FS2004.

Re: Saitek Pro Flight Yoke System

FSUIPC is Pete Dowson's utility that is needed to interface various addons with FS. You should have it since FSACARS needs it for reporting pireps to the POC. The registered version is needed to management joysticks, buttons and keypreses. Do not use the CD that came with the yoke. It will just make...

Re: Saitek Pro Flight Yoke System

Shawn: I have used the Saitek Throttle Quadrant for several months with a Thrustermaster TopGun Joystick. I recently purchased the Saitek Pro Flight Yoke System. While I now have two throttle quadrants, I only use one. I found that to get the throttle quadrant to work properly, I had to use FSUIPC t...

Re: SAX textures for Wilco 737/Airbus series

Fred: If you want a good reference to flying the Airbus, take a look at Mike Ray's books. http://www.pcaviator.com/shop/viewAProduct.php?pid=789 http://www.pcaviator.com/shop/viewAProduct.php?pid=896 The prices are a bit steep, but his knowledge, writing style and humor makes the books worth the pri...

Re: SAX textures for Wilco 737/Airbus series

The PMDG B737 textures are located in the SAX file library. Since you started this thread in the FSX addon area, I just wanted to make you aware that the PMDG B737 is only for FS9.

Re: Time to Talk Acceleration?

Very well said, Dave! If it become too much of a problem, a minor change to the POC's receive flight report code can easily reject any accelerated flight. SunAir Express does have an easy alternative for pilots with low hours to build up their hours. We developed the SunAir Express - Jim flights usi...

Re: SAX Manuals

Manuals, tutorials and checklists for the aircraft can generally be found on the popular flight sim sites and by Googling for more obscure sites that my have some documentation. Several of us who fly the PMDG aircraft, (B737 and B747) have collected over time some very good tutorials for these speci...

Frank:

Try 55% power, 30 degrees of flaps and gear down. That is a good ballpark configuration to get you descending on the glide path.

I'm sure he will enjoy the homemade cookies, that are a specialty on all Jim flights. Safe travels on yo...
