Re: POLL: FSFK Score and Critique

Good post Bob. In an earlier posting, Dave Blake said this VA belonged to all of us. He's using all tools available to get all opinions heard: polls, questions, etc. It is regretable that some have reached conclusions before a final decision has been reached, and I hope those decisions are reconside...

Pete, note I didn't say to leave SAX, but just to join another VA just to compare. It was only a suggestion.

Re: The future of SAX

Danny, Sorry it isn't what you expected. There are some virtual airlines that should be designated as flying clubs, and there are some that would not allow you to fly unless one of them manually dispatches your flight. We are trying to keep the original intent of simulating flying for a real airline...

Re: The future of SAX

All We won't get "too serious." As Marty points out, there are other VAs out there that are way more "serious" than SAX. At the same time there are some that are way less "serious" than SAX. The original founder wanted it to be as real as possible, but we haven't gotten...

Re: Peter Meyerson Promoted to B767 Type Rating

It looks like they are. This is actually a B757 and not a 767. You can see the aircraft registration on the panel. See this pic: http://www.airliners.net/photo/Finnair/Boeing-757-2Q8/1193632/L/ . I understand that pilots who fly one are rated to fly the other. Can anyone who knows comment? David Veg...

Re: B767

Here's a good site that offers reference materials on procedures, etc. http://www.smartcockpit.com/ Are you flying our freeware B767 or the Level-D commercial product? That autopilot behavior doesn't sound right. You should descend to your approach altitude at the initial approach fix intercepting t...

It's nice to see all this forum activity. I agree with SAX767, this should not feel like work, it's a hobby. But I have to ask, why does it feel like work? Could it be that, like in the game of golf where one basically plays against oneself, but one continues playing to get better? From our Operatio...
