Re: FS9 Waypoint Refresh

No, I don't know how to do that. While I do know how to create an FSNav database with FSNavDBC, I don't know if that's the way to include these points, or even how to do it. I can't add the file as I could add others.

FS9 Waypoint Refresh

Fellow Captains,

Here's a way to update FS9's waypoint database with the most current. Go to http://uk.geocities.com/fs9.airac@btinternet.com/ and follow the instructions.

Have fun.

It is indeed a very good utility. It allows you to turn off all the unnecessary background processes, run FS, and restores the processes to their original state. As with anything else, be careful. dv

Not crashing is always a good thing. Good to know that it runs well on your Vista setup.

Re: PMDG 737 The Next Generation

Yes, I can run the PMDG 737NG on Windows Vista without any problems. This on FS9. The problems are when one tries to port it to FSX. It doesn't run under FSX.

... and Frank, when you get into the automated flight, you'll see the flight management computer even tells you the VREF or landing reference speed. That's what I use to land when I switch off the autopilot.

To all who organized and participated in this event, thank you. It really meant a lot. I'm now home for real, after one year in Iraq. Thank you also for all your prayers, they worked. My family thank you.

It's good to be home.

Excellent chilli, good beans, though I don't know why some were suggesting I stay overnight in St Louis instead of continuing to San Antonio right away. :)

Frank,

A link on flying the PMDG B737-700 (http://www.fsstation.com/tutorials/boei ... 737ng.html), and the tutorial I used, best I've seen around, http://library.avsim.net/download.php?DLID=41285. Enjoy.

Frank, Welcome back. Still SunAir Express, still the hunger to learn more, still the quest for realism, now with a small dose of compromise for entertaining value. Interesting to know the quest for realistic fuel figures started the VA concept. I do clearly remember each flight presented the challen...

Johnny, I'm assuming this happens with all sceneries, or when you're landing at any airport. Based on your comment, it is worse when landing at an airport with complex scenery. It could be that your hard drive is busy at the time when it needs to load scenery. This is only a guess. Perhaps the anti ...

163 flights have TPA as its destination; the selection is plenty. From a 30 minute flight to one over 10 hours.

I'm planning to fly in flight 101, STL-TPA, B767. I think I know you will be flying from BRU.

If we do end up retiring the MD83, how about a retirement group flight? Where in Europe do airplanes that are retired go? We could have a group flight taking some of our MD83s there. What do you think?
