The new KORD 10R-28L Runway will open next week. Here is some diagrams of the new operations.

It will be a looooong taxi if landing on 10R and the going to the northern most United gates, about 5.5 miles.

Thank you Marty. I reposted this on the FSDT forum. Maybe they'll use it for a future KORD scenery update.

Looking at your ADS-B Heat Map is looks like they are mostly using the new runway for departures. I guess no one wants to take a tour of the airport while taxiing back to the gate.

They are using 10R right now for arrivals. I can actually see them outside my window at work. On the heatmap, you can see the 2 degree offset as compared to 10C and 10L.

My mistake, they are using the new runway for arrivals today. I hadn't notice the offset glide-path, interesting. I wonder if they serve drinks while taxiing to the gate. :D
