New Flights from Nairobi, Kenya

Fellow Captains,

SunAir Europa is announcing new flights from Nairobi, Kenya to various locations in central Africa. With these flights, we are trying something new, designating Nairobi as a focus city for SAX. Hope you enjoy the flights. Shortly you will see more information about the new destinations, including hints for scenery, etc. As with anything new, I'm sure there are bugs to be handled. Please let us know of any anomalies by posting on this thread.

The new flights we have introduced will allow connections from more African countries to our Zurich Hub. In addition, it will give us as pilots an opportunity to experience African airports serving destinations that are high in altitude (Addis Ababa at 7300 ft, Nairobi at 5600 ft), on large lakes (Entebbe), dry country (Khartoum, though located on the Nile) and exotic islands (Zanzibar and Moroni in the Comoros). Flights will serve Addis Ababa, Khartoum, Entebbe, Kigali, Bujumbura, Mombasa, Zanzibar, Moroni, Lusaka and Lilongwe in Malawi.

Many of these airports are not well depicted in Flight Simulator. For that reason, I am giving links or files for many of these airports which are freebies and will help to give a more interesting and accurate airport. These sceneries will often correct improper runway alignment, missing navaids and runways that have been added since Flight Simulator was first released. The sceneries for FSX are generally much more detailed that those for FS9, though there are some good ones for FS9 which I have not included, but require the download of many different files to get everything working.

I have not found any scenery for those airports that are blank. Note that for Lilongwe, FWKI, FS9 will list the code as FWLI. If you find other scenery for any of these airports you think are good, let us know.
