POLL: Pilot Average Landing Rating

Post by Dave Blake »

Thanks to some fancy coding by some talented people, the POC can now assimilate more data from the FSACARS log files. This has resulted in the new "Greaser Club".

We are planning to add a new Average Landing Rating stat for each pilot to the POC. What we would like to know is should we make the pilot's average landing rating retroactive and include all previously filed FSACARS log files or should we start new from scratch beginning at a date in the near future.

This poll will only last for 5 days so please vote today! Thank you.

Start from scratch. Although it would be interesting to see the accumulated data being tallied up.

Start from scratch. Not gunna lie, I had some hard carrier landings in the past. But there's my two cents. Also would like to know my overall, but would like a fresh start.

Count all of them. No sense keeping the records if we are not going to use the data.

Mmmm, which way to vote, scratch or no scratch?? have noticed since greaser club was introduced that t/d rates seem to be getting lower, so our pilots are definitely giving more effort to achieving -100fpm, so if an average was started around now it would be low, i,m sure we have all had some t/d rates we,d rather forget, especially if, like me, you were a complete novice when you started here, so maybe its best to start from scratch then we all know where we stand, how ever, like the accumulated on time %, its nice to see that as pilots we can improve :D

Use them all. Do the math! More reports, the less impact of a hard landing on your overall record!!!!!

Retroactive.

Some planes are easier to land than others, though, so maybe need/want to keep separate lists by type?
