Active Sky Next

Post by chriszdc »

It's out and I have to say it is an amazing improvement. Highly recommend it!

I was flying around Sao Paulo around thunderstorms. The tops were above FL400, probably around FL450. I'll have to try and get some screen shots.

Just flew from DCA to ATL - snowing in Washington, light turbulence through about 10000. 158kt headwind the entire way, sheesh.

Smooth cloud transitions as well as wind changes. The turbulence can hurt your feelings. I flew up from TPA yesterday and right near RDU in clear air we got into moderate turbulence (as the AIRMETs called for)

You still need AS2012 or some other theme for clouds etc.

ASN loads superfast

Thanks Chris. I understand there's discount for previous Active Sky product owners. So far all the comments I've read are positive.

Here's the Active Sky Next web page. http://www.hifitechinc.com/products/activeskynext

Says there is a discount for previous owners and even a 7-Day full-function free - try before you buy offer.
Also, only for FSX.

Yes on the discount, it was about 10E or so off.

Interesting going into ATL, there was just a hint of light turbulence, amazing difference from the 'old' flight sim turbulence.

Not looking forward to my first windshear experience, or am I
